The Role
As Assistant Finance Manager, you will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the hotel’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving operational efficiency.
You will also play a key role in team supervision, financial reporting, and continuous process improvement.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Controls
- Assist in managing daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Hilton policies.
- Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to financial procedures.
- Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate ledger postings and cost control measures.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and support finance team members to ensure high performance.
- Take initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements within the department.
- Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and ownership.
- Communicate effectively with department heads and external stakeholders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Systems & Compliance
- Ensure proper use of financial systems and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
- University Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Previous hotel finance experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
