Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking an exceptional finance leader to join the Regional Sales Office in Dubai as Assistant Regional Director of Operations Finance. This is a prestigious opportunity to be part of one of the world’s most luxurious hospitality brands, supporting hotels across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

The Role

As Assistant Regional Director of Operations Finance, you will act as a key business partner to the Area Vice Presidents while supporting the Regional Director of Operations Finance. The position is based in Dubai and involves up to 40% regional travel.
You will play a critical role in strengthening financial controls, improving profitability, supporting hotel openings and transitions, and ensuring compliance with Mandarin Oriental’s global policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

Regional Financial Support

• Analyze monthly financial reports and identify profit improvement opportunities.
• Review budgets, forecasts, ROI calculations, and cash flow statements.
• Provide guidance on MOHG operational standards and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Conduct Controller Self Assessment Questionnaire (CSAQ) verifications.
• Participate in internal and external audits and follow up on audit recommendations.
• Monitor balance sheet reconciliations, payroll compliance, cash handling standards, purchasing guidelines, and expense policies.

Hotel Openings & Transitions

• Support pre-opening budgets and critical path planning.
• Oversee financial systems implementation and SOP development for new properties.
• Assist in acquisitions, divestments, de-branding, and finance leadership transitions.
• Ensure compliance with management agreements and insurance obligations.
Operational Excellence & Projects
• Lead finance initiatives related to operational excellence.
• Contribute to COA standardization and KPI development.
• Update and maintain policy libraries and finance reference manuals.
• Design internal training programs to develop finance talent across the region.

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in hotel finance and multi-property operations.
• Solid knowledge of USALI, GAAP, IFRS, and hospitality accounting standards.
• Experience in internal controls, audits, and compliance frameworks.
• Exposure to hotel openings, rebranding, or acquisitions is highly advantageous.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally (up to 40%)
