About the Opportunity
Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Managed by Accor is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the hotel’s Finance & Accounting function. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, overseeing budgeting and compliance, and supporting operational excellence across one of Vietnam’s premier beachfront resorts.
The Role
The Financial Controller will oversee all finance and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Accor standards, local regulations, and accounting principles. Working closely with the General Manager and department leaders, the successful candidate will drive financial performance, safeguard hotel assets, optimize internal controls, and provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Accounting department.
• Ensure timely preparation of accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning processes.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Credit, Cashiering, Payroll, Cost Control, and Purchasing functions.
• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations and accurate financial records.
• Monitor collections, credit management, and safeguard hotel cash and banking operations.
• Review contracts, procurement activities, insurance coverage, and operating licenses.
• Ensure compliance with tax legislation, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with owners, auditors, local authorities, and Accor Regional Office.
• Support operational departments by improving financial controls and business processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while driving continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of hotel accounting or audit experience, including at least 1 year as a Financial Controller or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance.
• Experience managing Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, Cost Control, and Cash Management functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel financial systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Hospitality industry experience within an international hotel brand is highly preferred.
