The Role
As Cluster Finance Associate – Accounts Payable, you will primarily oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring strict financial controls, compliance, and accuracy across the cluster.
This role plays a key part in safeguarding company assets, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting efficient financial operations.
Core Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Compliance
• Manage Accounts Payable processes, particularly related to Owners Association for JOP.
• Ensure full VAT compliance and minimize financial risk exposure.
• Process vendor payments on time while effectively managing working capital.
• Perform weekly and monthly AP reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain strict control over petty cash functions.
• Ensure payments follow Delegated Authority policies and internal controls.
• Record transactions accurately to correct ledger accounts and cost centres.
Financial Control & Process Improvement
• Support month-end closing with accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Work closely with the Cluster Financial Controller to strengthen internal controls in the Requisition-to-Payment cycle.
• Collaborate with procurement teams, Cost Accountants, and Department Heads to enhance cost control.
• Implement and maintain an efficient document management system.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
• 2–3 years of Accounts Payable experience within a Dubai hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and UAE compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with accounting principles related to Cost, Fixed Assets, Accruals, and Prepayments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (ACCA or CA qualification is an advantage).
• Independent thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
