1. Who We Are & What These Terms Cover

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of:

Any related pages, subdomains, content, features, or tools we operate
Any online community areas, including our discussion spaces and Career Hub
Our official presence on LinkedIn or other platforms where these Terms are referenced

In these Terms:

“HFP Net”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to: Hospitality Finance Network

By accessing or using the Website, creating an account, or participating in the community, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which are incorporated by reference.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

To use the Website and create an account, you must:

Be at least 18 years old; and
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; and
Use the Website in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

The Website is primarily designed for hospitality finance professionals and related roles, but others (e.g. recruiters, vendors, students) may join subject to these Terms and the Community Guidelines.

3.1 What We Provide

HFP Net provides a professional community platform for hospitality finance, including:

Articles, guides, and knowledge resources
Community discussions and Q&A
A Career Hub for job postings and job searches
Information about events, webinars, and other initiatives related to hospitality finance

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time, with or without prior notice.

3.2 No Financial, Legal, Tax, or Audit Advice

The content on HFP Net (including articles, posts, comments, and resources) is for general information and discussion only. It is not:

Financial, legal, tax, or audit advice
A substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific situation

4. Community Guidelines

You are solely responsible for your User Content and any consequences of sharing it.

5.3 Licence You Grant to HFP Net

By posting or submitting User Content to the Website, you grant HFP Net a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to:

Use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, and adapt your User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Website and our services; and
Create derivative works (e.g. excerpts, summaries, or translated versions) for community and educational purposes.

This licence continues for as long as your content is hosted on our platform and for a reasonable period thereafter for backup, archival, and legal purposes.

If you delete your account or specific User Content:

We will make reasonable efforts to remove the content from public display going forward;
However, copies may remain in backups, archives, and logs;
Content may also remain accessible if it has been shared, quoted, or referenced by other users, or where removal is technically or legally impractical.

5.4 Our Content & Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, HFP Net and/or our licensors own all rights, title, and interest in:

Website design, layout, and structure
Logos, trademarks, branding, and graphics
Articles, guides, and original resources created by or for HFP Net
Software, code, and underlying technology

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Website for your personal and professional use as a hospitality finance professional, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

6. Prohibited Uses

7. Career Hub – Additional Terms

7.1 For Job Seekers

When you use the Career Hub as a job seeker, you acknowledge that:

HFP Net does not guarantee that you will receive job offers, interviews, or employment.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your CV, profile, and applications.
Once you submit information to an employer/recruiter, they may become an independent data controller of your data, and their own privacy/terms will apply.
You should perform your own due diligence on potential employers and roles.

We may remove or restrict access to job-related content if we suspect it is fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate.

7.2 For Employers & Recruiters

If you post jobs or recruit via HFP Net you agree that:

All roles posted are genuine, legal, and accurately described.
You will not discriminate unlawfully based on protected characteristics.
You will comply with applicable employment, equality, and data protection laws.
You will handle candidate data fairly and securely, in line with your own privacy obligations.

We reserve the right to edit or remove job posts and to restrict or terminate access for recruiters/employers who misuse the platform.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, services, or tools (e.g. LinkedIn, analytics services, external articles, training providers).

We do not control or endorse third-party content or services.
Your use of such third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

HFP Net is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of third-party sites or services.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

No Warranties

Your User Content;
Your violation of these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law;
Your infringement of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with us in such defence.

12. Suspension & Termination

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

Suspend or restrict your access to the Website (in whole or in part);
Remove or modify your User Content;
Terminate your account;

if we believe that:

You have violated these Terms or the Community Guidelines;
You pose a risk to other users, the community, or our infrastructure;
We need to comply with legal or regulatory requirements;
We are discontinuing or modifying our services.

You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using any available account deletion tools.

Upon termination:

Your right to use the Website ceases immediately.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
