Director of Finance

Raffles Jeddah is looking for a Director of Finance.
A senior finance leadership role within a luxury hospitality environment – responsible for overseeing full financial operations, governance, reporting excellence, team leadership, and partnering with hotel leadership to drive profitability and ensure compliance.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead all financial operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and supporting business performance through strong financial planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and cash flow forecasts, providing strategic insights to improve profitability.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls in line with company policies and Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analysis, and present insights to senior management.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations, ensuring all balances are accurate and supported.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Support audit processes by maintaining proper documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
- Analyze financial performance and operational costs to drive efficiency and cost control.
- Review contracts and agreements to ensure financial and commercial benefits are protected.
- Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
- Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and reporting standards.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabia financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial/ERP systems.
Leadership Skills
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and ability to present financial insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic hospitality environment.
