Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Residences Finance Manager to support the financial integrity and operational success of its luxury residential operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong accounting expertise and exposure to real estate or strata accounting.
The Role
As Residences Finance Manager, you will oversee general ledger processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and homeowner association accounting. You will play a vital role in maintaining compliance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting owners and management with accurate financial insights.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and reconciliations.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and generate timely management reports.
Strata & Owner Accounting
- Manage HOA/strata accounting for community associations.
- Prepare owner statements, handle collections, and support unit sales documentation.
- Act as liaison between homeowners, HOA boards, and management.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Coordinate internal and external audits and SOP reviews.
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and fraud prevention regulations.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
Operational Oversight
- Supervise AR, AP, payroll, and risk management for Residences.
- Monitor taxes and ensure timely collection and accruals.
- Support contract verification and credit checks for billed groups.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with Directors of Finance and Residences teams.
- Provide guidance on budgeting, financial policies, and resource utilization.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and team performance.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years progressive finance experience.
- Real estate or strata accounting exposure is an advantage.
- Supervisory experience required.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Opera, BirchStreet, ADP, etc.).
