About the Opportunity

Hyatt Place AlUla is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the Finance Department as part of its exciting pre-opening team. This is an excellent opportunity to join Hyatt’s continued expansion in the Middle East and play a key role in establishing strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and operational excellence at a brand-new hotel.

The Role

The Chief Accountant will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Hyatt International’s financial policies, statutory regulations, and internal control standards. Working closely with hotel leadership, the successful candidate will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business performance while leading a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Finance Department.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Credit, and related accounting functions.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with Hyatt policies and statutory requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
• Partner with hotel leadership to drive sound financial decision-making.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

Candidate Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Hospitality Management.
• CA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant within a large hotel operation.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Pre-opening hotel experience will be considered an advantage.
