About the Opportunity

Manhattan Grand Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive – Accounts Receivable & Income Audit to join its pre-opening Finance team in Hulhumalé, Maldives. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing robust financial controls, safeguarding hotel revenue, and supporting the successful launch of one of the Maldives’ newest upscale urban hotels.

The Role

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing Accounts Receivable operations and performing daily Income Audit activities to ensure accurate revenue recognition, timely collections, and compliance with hotel financial policies. Working closely with the Finance Manager and operational departments, the successful candidate will help establish efficient finance systems and internal controls during the hotel’s pre-opening phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, billing, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Perform daily income audits for Rooms, F&B, Spa, and other revenue outlets.
• Reconcile revenue between PMS, POS systems, payment gateways, and accounting records.
• Investigate revenue discrepancies and resolve billing or posting issues.
• Prepare daily revenue reports, receivable ageing reports, and financial summaries.
• Support month-end closing, account reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Assist with implementing finance systems, procedures, and controls during the pre-opening period.
• Collaborate with operational departments to enhance revenue accuracy and financial performance.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, or Hotel Finance.
• Strong understanding of hotel revenue cycles, credit management, and income auditing.
• Experience with Opera PMS, POS systems, SunSystems, or similar hotel accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Pre-opening hotel experience will be an added advantage.
