Jumeirah is seeking an accomplished and commercially focused Director of Finance to join its leadership talent pool in Dubai. As part of Jumeirah’s commitment to operational excellence and leadership succession across its luxury hospitality portfolio, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead the Finance function of one of the world’s most prestigious luxury hotel brands.

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with Executive Leadership, ownership representatives, corporate finance, and operational teams, the Director of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership, drive business performance, ensure sound financial governance, and support long-term value creation across the property.

The Role

The Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, risk management, internal controls, cash flow management, and strategic business partnering. The successful candidate will provide financial insight that supports executive decision-making while ensuring sustainable profitability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to drive sustainable profitability and long-term business performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team by delivering commercial insights, financial analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, business plans, rolling forecasts, and capital expenditure plans.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend initiatives to improve revenue growth, productivity, profitability, and return on investment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, asset managers, auditors, corporate finance teams, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, treasury functions, and balance sheet integrity.
• Support investment decisions, business development initiatives, and asset enhancement projects.
• Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and technology adoption.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operational departments to strengthen financial awareness and support informed business decisions.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience within internationally recognized luxury hospitality brands.
• Strong understanding of hotel financial management, commercial operations, and luxury hospitality business drivers.
• Proven experience working closely with Executive Leadership, hotel owners, and regional corporate teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, risk management, and cash flow management.
• Previous experience within the GCC hospitality market is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial information into strategic business decisions.
• Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and mentoring high-performing finance teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.
• Proficiency in hotel financial systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence tools.
