About the Opportunity

Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead the Finance Department and drive the resort’s financial strategy, operational performance, and regulatory compliance. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a commercially focused finance professional looking to join one of Accor’s premier wellness resorts in the heart of Bangkok.

The Role

The Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of the resort’s financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. Working closely with the General Manager and executive leadership team, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial guidance to maximize profitability, ensure sound governance, and support long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business analysis activities.
• Monitor monthly financial performance and analyze budget variances.
• Prepare annual financial reports, revenue analysis, and financial forecasts.
• Support contract negotiations and investment decisions through financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Monitor purchasing, receiving, inventory, and cost control procedures.
• Partner with department heads to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Support long-term financial planning and strategic business initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA or other professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance position or at least 2 years in a Director of Finance or similar leadership role within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and hotel financial systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and business partnering skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Thai.
• Ability to lead financial strategy in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
