Night Auditor

About the Opportunity

Six Senses Kanuhura Maldives is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Night Auditor to support the Finance Department by ensuring accurate daily financial reconciliation, transaction verification, and compliance with internal control procedures.

As part of the Six Senses luxury hospitality brand, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining financial accuracy, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences while supporting the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, wellness, and responsible hospitality.

The Role

The Night Auditor will be responsible for conducting overnight financial audits, reconciling guest accounts, verifying revenue transactions, reviewing supporting documents, and ensuring all hotel financial systems are accurately updated and balanced.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, and the ability to independently manage overnight operations while maintaining Six Senses brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive night audit procedures and ensure accurate recording of all daily financial transactions.
• Review, verify, and reconcile hotel revenue transactions and financial records.
• Reconcile guest accounts including room charges, credit card transactions, and other billing entries.
• Verify room rates against approved contracts, agreements, and pricing standards.
• Audit miscellaneous charges and ensure proper authorization and supporting documentation.
• Ensure Property Management System (PMS) and financial systems are updated, balanced, and aligned with daily reports.
• Prepare and analyze Daily Revenue Reports and highlight discrepancies to management.
• Identify financial irregularities, operational discrepancies, and potential risks.
• Maintain accurate audit documentation in compliance with internal controls and financial standards.
• Verify entertainment checks, vouchers, registration cards, and supporting documents.
• Ensure all financial documents are maintained in proper numerical sequence.
• Support overnight hotel operations and respond professionally to guest inquiries when required.
• Perform additional finance and operational duties assigned by management.
• Ensure compliance with Six Senses brand standards and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) requirements.
• Contribute to achieving operational excellence and positive guest satisfaction results.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualifications will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hotel accounting, night audit, or similar finance role.
• Previous experience in luxury hotels or resorts preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting procedures and financial calculations.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), especially Opera, is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow internal control procedures.
