About the Opportunity
Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Finance to support the Director of Finance in leading the hotel’s financial operations and maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

The Role
The Assistant Director of Finance will be responsible for supporting the overall finance function, including financial reporting, month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, internal controls, audit coordination, and balance sheet management. Working closely with the Director of Finance and operational departments, the successful candidate will ensure compliance with Four Seasons standards while strengthening financial governance and improving business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Finance in managing the hotel’s daily finance and accounting operations.
- Oversee the month-end closing process, including financial statements, accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare daily cash position reports and monitor cash flow in accordance with corporate treasury guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure the accuracy of management fees, royalty fees, marketing fees, and other contractual financial obligations.
- Review and approve journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with corporate finance policies.
- Monitor operational expenses and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure effective internal controls over payments, banking activities, cash handling, and financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate exchange rate applications and compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Oversee house funds, cashier floats, and safeguard hotel financial assets.
- Continuously improve finance processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Support residential or mixed-use accounting operations where applicable.
- Partner with operational departments to improve financial performance and profitability.
- Perform additional financial projects and assignments as directed by hotel management.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar finance leadership position within a luxury hotel or reputable hospitality organization.
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and internal controls.
- Experience coordinating internal and external audits.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end financial close processes.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities across multiple departments.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop finance team members.
- Proficiency in hotel financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
