About the Opportunity

Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the hotel’s finance and accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational excellence.

The Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the hotel’s accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, cash flow management, balance sheet reconciliations, compliance, and financial analysis. Working closely with the Director of Finance and hotel leadership, the successful candidate will lead the finance team, improve financial processes, and provide valuable business insights that enhance profitability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting department.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit, and cash management functions.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations and General Ledger accuracy.
• Coordinate internal, external, and regulatory audits while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, and financial performance.
• Ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Review financial transactions, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Strengthen internal controls and maintain compliance with Marriott operating procedures.
• Support business decision-making through financial analysis and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with operational departments to improve profitability and financial performance.
• Lead, mentor, develop, and evaluate finance team members while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements and best practices across the finance function.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal controls.
• Experience managing General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flow.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, reconciliations, and working capital management.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in hotel financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
