Raffles Dubai is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Finance to support the Cluster Director of Finance in leading the hotel’s financial operations. The Role

The Assistant Director of Finance will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, internal controls, and compliance. Working closely with hotel leadership and the Cluster Director of Finance, the successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, safeguard hotel assets, and lead the finance team to deliver operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual budgets, FF&E budgets, rolling forecasts, and business plans.
• Prepare accurate financial and management reports for hotel management, owners, and corporate office.
• Analyze financial performance and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and approve cash disbursements in accordance with company policies.
• Review accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee tax reporting, regulatory filings, and financial compliance obligations.
• Protect hotel assets through strong internal controls and financial governance.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure processes.
• Develop and monitor credit control and collection procedures.
• Supervise the daily activities of the Accounting Department and provide coaching and support to team members.
• Assist with recruitment, training, succession planning, and performance management within the finance team.
• Conduct departmental meetings and promote continuous improvement across finance operations.
• Collaborate with operational departments to improve financial performance and reporting efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Experience with hotel financial systems including OPERA, MICROS/SYMPHONY, SUN, HYPERION, and FUTURE LOG.
• Thorough understanding of accounting standards, financial compliance, and hotel operations.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team management abilities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
